Learning objectives

Learners who complete this course will be prepared to:

  1. Provide facts about beverage alcohol content and blood alcohol concentration
  2. Describe levels of intoxication and risks associated with heavy or rapid drinking
  3. Recognize factors that can affect exacerbate impairment, and how to address them
  4. Recognize different drinking behaviors: abstinence, moderation, abuse and dependence
  5. Assess your own drinking behavior using the CAGE tool
