Each drug-free workplace (DFWP) training program includes two or more courses, assembled for a specific training purpose. Individual courses are built around learning objectives for a particular audience.

This drug-free workplace (DFWP) course provides facts and dispels some common myths about marijuana, the most widely used illegal drug in communities and workplaces.

Learning objectives

Learners who complete this course will be prepared to:

  1. Provide facts about marijuana, including its prevalence and potency, and dispel some common myths
  2. Describe marijuana's immediate physical and psychological effects, and acute and chronic health and safety risks
  3. Discuss marijuana's impact on the workplace
  4. Recognize signs of current marijuana use
  5. Provide basic information about treatment for marijuana dependence
