This drug-free workplace (DFWP) course, the first of two in-depth courses on marijuana, the most common drug of abuse, takes a close look at the drug and its acute effects and risks.

Learning objectives

Learners who complete this course will be prepared to:

  1. Provide facts about marijuana, including its prevalence, use, and potency trends
  2. Describe marijuana's short-term intoxicating effects
  3. Discuss the health and safety risks of using marijuana
  4. Assess the likelihood of marijuana abuse using the CAGE tool
