Individual DFWP courses

Each drug-free workplace (DFWP) training program includes two or more courses, assembled for a specific training purpose. Individual courses are built around learning objectives for a particular audience.

CASN-02: Drug-Free Workplaces

This course examines the problem of workplace substance abuse and the benefits of drug-free workplace (DFWP) programs, preparing supervisors to explain and support these programs.

Learning objectives

Learners who complete this course will be prepared to:

  1. Discuss with employees the problem of workplace substance use, including its impact on workers' safety, health and productivity
  2. Discuss the effectiveness of drug-free workplace (DFWP) programs and the economics of working drug free
  3. Describe the key components of a DFWP program, including drug and alcohol testing situations and methods, and substance abuse policies.
