Tennessee drug-free workplaces

Tennessee offers an annual workers' compensation premium discount of 5.0 percent to employers who maintain a certified drug-free workplace. Employee education and supervisor training are required program components.

PDPB-01: Administering a Tennessee DFWP

Instruction: Program
Authority: DFWP/TN
Audience: Administrator
Level: Basic

Tennessee-certified employers must appoint a program administrator for their drug-free workplace (DFWP) program. The program administrator (PA) manages the DFWP program, and is often viewed as the DFWP expert in the organization.

Training for PAs is not required for Tennessee DFWP certification. But the PA is likely to perform better, and feel more confident, with some solid training.

This program is for people who administer Tennessee-certified drug-free workplaces.
